Outwell - The History

Outwell are manufacturers of a wide spectrum of tents and camping accessories. In 2009, we saw the highly successful launch of the Avantgarde collection of tents, whilst in 2010 the Fantasy collection of Outwell tents will win the hearts of family campers across Europe due to its inspiring quality and reliability.

Outwell Tents

Three new collections will be gracing our presence in the 2010 camping season, with the Touring, Fantasy and Smart Tunnals (no we have not spelt it wrong, it’s Danish) collections all making their way into the 2010 collection of Outwell tents. They will stand side by side with the highly successful Avantgarde, Premium, Deluxe, Classic and Comfort ranges of tents, which coincidentally all see improvements in design, style and stability.

What are Outwell good at?

Outwell are very select in their specialities, if you’re looking for a lightweight tent for backpacking, then do a u-turn and run in the opposite direction from this tent collection. Quite simply, Outwell are at their best when it comes to producing large and practical family tents. Their philosophy is about creating ‘home-away-from-home’ products that will inspire families to camp on a more regular basis. Additionally, they aim to change people’s perspectives and stereotypes on camping – from ‘it’s all about roughing it in the middle of a field’ to ‘camping can be a luxurious, relaxing and comfortable holiday too.’ Their unique selection of tents is expensive, however when you buy an Outwell tent, you are making an investment in a product that is durable, reliable and full of top class innovative features. Fantasy Tents Collection – This collection of Outwell tents is solely focussed on family camping, with just three tents in the range all incorporating the Outwell Kid’s room. Additionally featuring the kids’ game sets and game wall to keep the children occupied while you put up the tent or have a glass of wine in the evening.

Avantgarde Tents Collection - This collection of tents is the flagship range for Outwell, introducing the finest tent designs, colours and solid steel constructions. Each tent within the range features the sewn in groundsheet system for added comfort and convenience, also featuring large porch areas which can be useful for storage or for relaxing under. With just three tent styles in the range, all produced in the Outwell mocha colour - the Ohio, Maryland and Arkansas, this Outwell collection is very select and aims to hit the very top end of the camping marketplace.

Premium Tents Collection - More popular than ever, the premium range of tents includes all the classic styles that made Outwell such a phenomenal success throughout Europe. The Outwell Montana 6 is the best selling 6 man family tent in the UK, offering a new porch design for the 2010 camping season. Building upon the success of the Florida 6 tent, Outwell have released a five man version for 2010, offering a more compact family tent for those not needing as much space. Other popular tents in the collection remain untouched; these include the Vermont, Nevada and Michigan tents.

Deluxe - The deluxe collection of tents from Outwell, is a direct response to customer feedback. This collection focuses more upon the main area of family camping, with the smaller family tents in this range popular with couples or small families wanting to escape for the weekend and go camping in the countryside. The range still has superior design, comfort and style at the heart of its designs, with the Carolina and Nevada ranges of tents all proving massive successes in the weekender tent market. Additionally, the evergreen tents continue on the in the range with the Hartford and Minnesota.
Smart Tunnal - A brand new, innovative concept from Outwell, the smart tunnal system is a pop up tent system ideal for the modern festival goer. The Vision and Fusion tents now give Outwell entry into a market (festival tents) that they have not entered into yet. As always Outwell intend on aiming for the top end of this market, producing probably the finest pop up tents available to buy, jam packed with sophisticated Outwell features bearing the quality and design of Outwell tents.

Classic - A poly-cotton range of tents bearing all the usual hallmarks of Outwell perfection and quality. Each tent in the range is designed to be user friendly and is packed with exciting features that will enhance the quality of your camping experience. The Wolf Lake and Bear Lake are solid tunnel structures with alloy poles, tested to high wind and rain pressures of up to 70mph.
Also included in the range is the highly innovative Indian Lake with the tepee style construction, an industry first for the poly-cotton range of tents that is now been copied across the tents industry.

Comfort - A new collection of touring tents produced in a fine poly-cotton tent that combines breathable materials with customer approved designs. Innovation, style and design have all been key components in the developments of this collection which has had a drastic facelift for 2010. The new ranges, all named after rivers are eye catching in design and again responds to changing market trends and customer needs.

Outwell Kid's

In 2008, Outwell launched their highly popular kids room, this is a inner tent fits into most family tents with more than one bedroom. This gives the children their own bedroom full of innovative toys and accessories to keep them busy. Each family tent now has its own kid's room design which integrates nicely into the tent and offers the children something to do when it is raining outside!
The jungle themed kid's room has proved a success both with boys and girls. During the day it is peaceful and inviting using its peaceful colours. During nightfall, the ceiling has a star filled sky system to offer a great sense of outdoors. Key features offered by the inner tent are the:-

Outwell Explorer Dino and Flowies Rose Outdoor Equipment

The Dino range of Outwell children's outdoor accessories has been successful for around two camping seasons now. Offering the children of the family their own range of camping equipment and tents, full of innovative features ensuring the camping trip a more memorable one. The Dino range of equipment is aimed at the young boy with the branding being very vibrant and exciting.
