Outwell Cotton Collection – Comfort Range
The Outwell Comfort Collection integrates all of the practical advantages of polycotton fabrics with well-proven designs such as dome and tunnel tents to create a top-quality range of tents that bear all the hallmarks of Outwell innovation and expertise. The Comfort 2009 Collection includes the South Seas and the Baltic Seas. It is a very similar range to the Classic Outwell Range which has also provided campers with top quality tents ideal for the top end camper looking for complete luxury. The polycotton fabric used in the Comfort 2009 Collection allows the tents to breathe more so thana standard waterproof fabric does, keeping the tents much cooler in hot weather and warmer in cold weather. Features vary from model to model, but include selling points such as high-quality waterproof groundsheets and clear windows, Duratec poles, universal inner tents and black no-see-um mesh. The Comfort 2009 Collection presents the latest in modern, comfortoriented features – based on the finest camping traditions.

The cotton fabric is designed to keep tents comfortable, especially on hot days. The woven fabric has a water-repellent coating on the outside which allows droplets to form and run off the tent without soaking into the tent fabric. As the weight from the rain increases, the fabric seals itself and becomes waterproof. Outtex Airtech is highly resistant to UV decay, and will last for years with proper care. To care for the tents the user must:

-store them sensibly in warm dry conditions.

-avoid packing the tent away in wet conditions

Duratec poles – Framework of Comfort Tents

A strong, flexible, lightweight fibreglass pole for use with smaller tents (ideal for the comfort range) providing stability and performance when needed. Again having fibres wrapped in different directions to provide a more stable pole these can be used where stiffness is required in dome and tunnel tent designs. Fibre glass poles provide the strength the tent needs in adverse conditions and when pitched correctly will help the tent to endure more severe weather conditions. The use of fibreglass poles also ensures the tent remains lightweight when packed down as opposed to steel poles which are far heavier and require better care and higher maintainence.

Models in this tent range

-Outwell Baltic Sea M/L

- Outwell North Sea L

- Outwell South Sea 3/4/5

Ideal For:

Regular campers who are using the tent in hotter conditions, though the tent will also perform well in colder conditions. Ideal for touring due to practical and lightweight features.
