Shipping And Handling
FREE DELIVERY ON EVERYTHING DURING DECEMBER
As part of our usual Christmas promotion, we have decided to offer free delivery on everything during the month of December.
Terms and Conditions of Free Delivery
- Free Standard Delivery, Express Delivery is still charged at £7.95
- Excludes certain areas such as Scottish Isles, Highland and Offshore Isles (Sorry to all the people who live in these regions but delivery costs in your area are too high to offer free delivery). For a full list of exclusions check the 'Cost List' below.
MAINLAND UK (Excluding Highlands & Regional Parts of Scotland)

Standard delivery (2-4 working days)
This is free for the month of December (T & C apply)
Next Working Day before 10AM Delivery (Guaranteed next working day delivery or your postage costs back)
This costs £19.99 for any order.
We have higher rates for areas such as Northern Ireland, Isle Of Man, Isle Of Wight, Scottish Islands, Scottish Highlands and Scilly Isles - please contact us to find out these rates and we can work it out for you. If you place your order without checking with us, we will not release the goods until we have received the correct payment.
Average costs are as follows:
Northern Ireland: £12 per parcel
Isle of Man: £12 per parcel
Scottish Isles & Highlands: £23.50 per parcel.

Delivery Schedule
Express Courier Service (1-2 days)
Orders received before 11am Mon-Friday are usually despatched the same day and delivered in 1-2 days, mostly next day. Although we strive to send your parcel out on the same day that it is ordered, orders received after 11am (especially during peak season) may not be processed until the next working day. For instance, any First Class Delivery orders placed after 11am on a Friday may not ship from our premises until the following Monday (excluding Bank Holidays), for delivery Tuesday/Wednesday.Please note that First Class Delivery services may be subject to delay from unavoidable circumstances outside of the control of the courier and whilst they are usually delivered on a next day service, we cannot guarantee this. We cannot be held liable for a service breakdown in this situation.
Standard Delivery
Orders received requesting standard delivery will usually be delivered between 2-5 days.
Next Working Day Before 10AM Delivery
We also operate a diamond service which is guaranteed next day delivery before 10am or your postage costs back, providing you place the order before 11am. Although this service is guaranteed by the courier - we will not be held responsible for poor planning or last minute orders by customers - placing a Diamond order is done so at your own discretion. If you live in a rural area - please ring to check Diamond services are applicable before placing the orders - (mainly remote parts of Cornwall or Devon)
You will receive an email letting you know when your goods have been despatched. Our couriers, Fedex & DHL collect at 3.00 p.m. every week day and deliver between 8.00 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. every day (excluding weekend). A signature is always required. Therefore please have your goods sent to an address where you will be present. Ideal delivery addresses are your home, workplace or even a consenting neighbour. If you are not in when the courier attempts to deliver your parcels, they will leave their calling card requesting that you contact them to rearrange delivery. If you request that we redirect the goods to a different delivery address this will result in an additional £6.00 charge. You have 3 days in which it will remain at your local courier depot until it is returned to us. If you fail to contact the courier and they return the goods back to us, you will be liable for the extra delivery charges incurred and an additional re-delivery and handling cost of £6.00. If the order is carriage paid due to the value of the order, we will deduct the extra shipping costs incurred before a refund is made for failed delivery of goods.
Additionally - please note that if you consent to have the parcel left without a signiture in the additional shipping notes - we will not be held responsible if the parcel is to go missing.
EUROPEAN DELIVERY
European delivery is split into two zones, We use FEDEX to deliver to European destinations.
Zone 1 charges £24.99 per box. This zone includes France, Belgium, Southern Ireland, Germany, Luxembourg and Netherlands. Delivery usually takes four working days.
Zone 2 charges £29.99 per box. This zone includes Austria, Denmark, Leichenstein and Switzerland. Delivery usually takes 5 working days.
UNITED STATES DELIVERY
We offer full delivery services to the United States, please email us on info@outdoorworlddirect.co.uk, email a full list of the items you would like to purchase and we can give an accurate quote for delivery.
Short Delivery or Incorrect goods
Our packing system has a triple checking system to avoid mistakes but we do pack hundreds of orders every day and from time to time, mistakes do occur. In this case, all we ask is that you inform us no later than 5 days of receipt of your goods. We will collect the goods at no cost to you and once we receive the goods back, we’ll deliver the correct goods. If you decide that you would like to cancel your order in the meantime, please contact us and we will collect the order at no cost to you. We only ask that you fill in the returns form so that we can deal with your refund more promptly. Failure to complete the returns form may result in delay of payment going back into your bank account.
If you wish to send any goods back to us yourself rather than us picking them up, please complete the returns form and a receipt for the postage costs but take into account that we will only refund up to a maximum of £6.00.
