We bought a Vango Rivendale Airbeam 800XL tent with a few accessories from this wonderful company and I must say I've never been treated so well on the phone. A special thank you to Amjid who bent over backwards to give us advice on this tent because I must admit we had a few reservations about purchasing before we spoke to him. We had viewed the tent in other company showrooms, but the assistants were very unhelpful and at such a high price we were reluctant to buy it until all our questions were answered.

The delivery turnaround and communication were fantastic.

We plan to buy more products from this wonderful company based on their excellent customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Well my order has just arrived, a lot earlier than anticipated. I haven't as yet checked the boxes as here it is extremely cold, albeit sunny; we had -10°C over night and it is still not above freezing. So I will let you know if there are any issues at a later date.

Sorry for delay in replying!!  Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent service received from yourselves in refunding the Skyliner and for arranging for the window to be replaced on our Edoras tent and all well before we were due to go away in it, to Snowdonia!  Was very much appreciated!!  The tent stood up very well to all sorts of wind and rain in Snowdonia and we couldn't be happier with it - I enclose a pic of the only sunny day we had so you can see the Edoras in all it's glory. Just to update you. I received the replacement extension yesterday (they had arrived here on Wed at 17:33 to deliver but the school was closed) and DPD took the damaged extension to return to yourselves.
I opened the package and although I wasn't able to erect the extension (the weather here is terrible) I did have a look at it particularily the area that was damaged on the previous one. Everything looks good although we probably won't be erecting it properly until we go on holidays in July.
I want to thank you for the courteous and efficient way in which you dealt with the problem. I will leave very positive feedback and will have no hesitation dealing with you again.

 I purchased a product from Outdoor World Direct….it was faulty when I opened it some weeks after to use it for the first time. I called them up and was answered by Amjid. The service he provided was fantastic. Sorted it out, told me exactly what I needed to do and genuinely could not of been more helpful. The whole experience to me summed up exactly what not good, but GREAT customer service is all about. I would recommend them and buy from them again without hesitation. It makes a change to be dealt with in such a fantastic way in the world of today.

I am extremely sorry i havent emailed you before now, i have been meaning too for a few days.

I just wanted to say how chuffed i am from placing an order with your company.

From the moment i placed the order, i was notified several times of when the order would be with me etc getting a more accurate time each time i received an update. And also the fact that up untill a few hours before delivery , i could click a link and re-arrange for a more suitable time if wanted.

That is something not many companys do as it takes alot of time and all sorts of other reasons. It really made me feel like i  was being well looked after, and even after i had spent my money with you it still felt as though you were doing everything you possibly could to help and/ or satisfy me. Which was really lovely ( you normally only get that service up untill you have spent the money).

The delivery arrived 2 minutes into the specified hour which was absolutely amazing. I have been so used to having to wait in all day to receive parcels that dont fit through letter box. Which is quite an inconvenience.

So to cut a long story short, i just wanted to say thankyou soo very much for such superb service and i cant wait to get my next purchase from you! Time and time again.

I rang your dept ob Friday around 9am to order an Outwell hartford Front tent extension. The family ( 3 adults and 4 children under 9) are due to travel on Monday so I was pushing my luck I felt to get this before Monday and fully expected to have to leave a little later on Monday. I also expected to have to wait in all day for a possible delivery today ..... BUT NO ! The order was delivered at 8.45 thismorning!!! 
This excellent service is on top of having my ordered handled by a very competent, businesslike and operator called Daniel. He knew what was in stock and when it could possibly be delivered ...... but we both understood the normal delays etc .... I appreciate these diffs in business. I am thrilled with my purchasing experience with you and will tell everyone who will listen how fab you are! I will use you again !!! But of course you are in Yorkshire .... I am writing to express my graditude at your excellent customer service, especially from Amjid whom dealt with me on the phone.

I placed an order for a tent with ** ******** only to have the order cancelled on me a week before my holiday and received no notification from them.  Only when I phoned them did they say my order had been cancelled.

I called you and spoke with Amjid, who went out of his way to physically check the stock to endure he could guarantee delivery.  He called me back when he said he would and I placed the order.  It has arrived 24 hours after the order was placed which is fantastic and means I have the tent I want in time to go on holiday next week.

I just wanted to say a very big Thank you to Daniel Earl, from Outdoor World Direct. 

The service I received from Dan was outstanding he went out of his way to keep me informed on the progress of my order to ensure I received my new tent in time for a pre-booked camping trip. The manufacturer delivered the tents a couple of days late to OWD arriving on the Thursday, Dan personally went down to the warehouse and off loaded my tent and arranged overnight pre-10am delivery my tent arrived 9.55am on the Friday and off we went on our camping trip with friends!!

He, or a member of his team has responded promptly, efficiently, patiently and clearly to my various questions about the tent/order. An excellent and friendly service. I felt like I was talking to a friend not just some unknown salesperson he really went out of his way to help. His customer service skills are exceptional and I will certainly use OWD for any future camping requirements. I have recommended them to all my camping friends.

Even though I’m in the Highlands and Islands area, the package was safely delivered today – barely 3 working days is exceptionally fast for delivery here. And no extra penalty charge for us being a bit out of the way. We just erected the tent (loosely) in the kitchen to check it and can see the pack was factory fresh, apparently unopened.
