Overview:

Part of the entry-level range of Vango awnings, the Airhub is an excellent drive-away option, offering a spacious dome style with a full Airbeam design for quicker inflation and pitching. The Tailgate hub is the first Vango offering to fit onto the rear of the camper van - which makes it perfect for couples or solo travellers. It has the Sentinel Active polyester fabric, which is a lightweight 70 denier polyester, perfect for a compact pack size, which is still durable and reliable for camping in the warmer Spring to Summer months of the year. In addition to this, it is free-standing, and not reliant on the van for structure, therefore you can take the van off-site by disconnecting the connecting panel and rolling it away, leaving the vehicle free to drive off-site, and the Tailgate standing on the campsite pitch.

Ideal For: Campers wanting a shelter that can be fixed onto either the side of the camper van or the tailgate. An entry-level awning designed in a lightweight fabric, to reduce pack size and weight, making it ideal for touring.

Two Doors in Tunnel Attachment to Vehicle: For convenient access to the front or back of your vehicle where the habitation or barn doors of the vehicle are located.
Tunnel Adjustment Strap: Helps collect any excess material to stop water pooling in the rain, and make it look tighter and better pitched.
Roll Away Connecting Tunnel: Detach from the vehicle, simply roll back the tunnel compartment and toggle it to secure, then you can drive away from the van.
Supplied with Steel Pegs: Strong and durable pegs ideal for grass and hard-standing pitches. Supplied with a handy carry bag for the pegs.

Methods of Attachment

Pre Attached Kador Rail 6mm - slides straight into a rail, or wind out awning. (Fiamma Requires a 4mm Drive Away Kit). Purchase a drive-away kit for the ability to be able to drive off-site.
Velcro Straps - easily attach to roof bars should the van have these.
Sleeve for Pole and Clamp Kit to allow for older styles of van which have a gutter fitted to the side of the van.
8M Storm Straps - can be thrown over the vehicle and pegged down the other side.

Fabric Denier	150 Denier (Polyester) Details Denier - a measurement used to determine the thickness of the tent flysheet. It relates to the fibre thickness, or thread counts used. The thicker the fabric, generally the stronger, and more durable the fabric will be. The denier really reflects the lifetime to be expected of the tent, and how quickly, it will be affected by UV Degradation.
Awning Type	VW Style Drive-Away Details Seasonal: A caravan awning specifically designed for touring, and temporary camping pitches. Ideal for fair weather campers, needing an awning for shorter trips. Usually uses lighter fabrics, for easier portability, and easier pitching. Hydrostatic Head (mm)	3000 Details Hydrostatic Head (Tents) – a waterproof rating for technical fabrics measured in mm. The higher the rating the more waterproof the fabric is. A rating of 1500mm is deemed waterproof, but on a tent, look for a rating of 3000 or higher. Measured by the height of water column a fabric weave can take before it begins to “sweat”. “Polycotton” tents will not have a Hydrostatic Head level, as they are not treated for waterproofing.

Flysheet Fabric	Sentinel Active - 70 Denier Polyester Details Polyester – a synthetic fibre, made from polymer units to create a textile fabric. Polyester is the most popular fabric for tent manufacturing, as it is durable, reliable and lighter in weight. Polyester does not breathe though, which creates more condensation. Polycotton - a blend of polyester and cotton, primarily cotton (usually around 65% cotton / 35% polyester split). Polycotton is a more natural fabric for camping, as it is breathable, far more durable material, reducing the effects of condensation. Offers greater versatility in hot and cold climates. Ripstop Nylon – a durable material used in tents which is strong and repairable due to its Ripstop properties.
