A spacious family tunnel design, the Coleman Aspen 6L offers a comfortable living space, complete with a fully sewn-in groundsheet throughout the tent, and a large open front canopy - which is the perfect place to relax on an evening. The Aspen offers a fibreglass pole construction for easy pitching, and for a smaller pack size and overall weight, when compared with an inflatable tent.
Multiple Entry / Exit Points: The Aspen offers versatile entry and exit points with both a front and side door access, which can be useful depending on the weather, as to which door to use to gain access into the shelter.
Mesh Ventilation: The Aspen has great ventilation points throughout, with mesh panels in the side door, and underneath the windows, offering plenty of airflow into the living and sleeping spaces. This will help reduce the impact of condensation, and promote a more comfortable camping experience in warmer conditions, without bugs being able to gain access into the camping home.
Versatile Bedroom Layouts: the bedroom inner offers toggled dividers, which can be moved to create the best sleeping configuration, whether that be converting the space into two / three different sleeping configurations.
Drop-down Groundsheet to Front Door: the front groundsheet drops down, which is ideal for pram and wheel chair access, as it will fold flat to the ground. The side door is a D-Door access, which is a step-over entry point.
Fully Sewn-in Groundsheet: the groundsheet is fully sewn into the flysheet of the tent, which creates a more comfortable camping experience, as bugs and the elements are prevented from accessing the living space. It helps to eliminate cold draughts.
Frame Construction: a simple fibreglass pole design, with mesh sleeves for greater structure and strength inside the tent.
- XL Porch Space - large living space to the front of the Aspen provides both shade and shelter and is an ideal place to store boots or shoes, as well as an excellent space for socialising.
- XXL Bedrooms (non-Blackout) - offer generous sleeping space, and can sleep up to six people, though the product is more comfortable for a family or group of four.
- Hydrostratic Head: 4000mm
- 70 Denier Polyester Fabric - a lightweight, yet durable fabric perfect for family camping in the Spring or Summer months.
- Fire Retardant Fabrics used in accordance with EU regulations.
- Coleman UV Guard - SPF50 Protection from the sun.

Berth | 6 Man Details Berth – This shows the number of people that the tent can sleep within the inner tents of a model of tent, in line with the industry standard. Normal procedure is to look for a slightly larger tent, for example, a family of four usually purchase a five or six berth tent, to give added room and comfort. |
Hydrostatic Head (mm) | 4,500 Details Hydrostatic Head (Tents) – a waterproof rating for technical fabrics measured in mm. The higher the rating the more waterproof the fabric is. A rating of 1500mm is deemed waterproof, but on a tent, look for a rating of 3000 or higher. Measured by the height of water column a fabric weave can take before it begins to “sweat”. “Polycotton” tents will not have a Hydrostatic Head level, as they are not treated for waterproofing. |
Doors | 1 Front / 1 Side Door |
Flysheet Fabric | 70 Denier Polyester Fabric Details Polyester – a synthetic fibre, made from polymer units to create a textile fabric. Polyester is the most popular fabric for tent manufacturing, as it is durable, reliable and lighter in weight. Polyester does not breathe though, which creates more condensation. Polycotton - a blend of polyester and cotton, primarily cotton (usually around 65% cotton / 35% polyester split). Polycotton is a more natural fabric for camping, as it is breathable, far more durable material, reducing the effects of condensation. Offers greater versatility in hot and cold climates. Ripstop Nylon – a durable material used in tents which is strong and repairable due to its Ripstop properties. |
Fabric Denier | 70 Denier (Polyester) Details Denier - a measurement used to determine the thickness of the tent flysheet. It relates to the fibre thickness, or thread counts used. The thicker the fabric, generally the stronger, and more durable the fabric will be. The denier really reflects the lifetime to be expected of the tent, and how quickly, it will be affected by UV Degradation. |
Groundsheet Fabric | Double-coated Polyethylene Groundsheet |
Inner Fabric | Polyester Inner Tent (non-Blackout) |
Window Fabric | PVC Windows with Toggled Curtains |
Fire Retardant | Yes Details Fire Retardant – all modern tent fabrics are fire-retardant under EN5912 European Safety Laws. Caution with fire must always be used, as flame retardant fabrics, will still catch fire given the right circumstances. |
