The perfect family package for those requiring a comfortable, inflatable tent with the ability to sleep up to seven people. The versatility of the Airedale 7.0se is unquestionable, offering a three-zone design with vast living space backed with a sewn-in groundsheet, and a unique side annex to the left of the shelter, to use for storage, or to install an optional two-person inner bedroom, taking the capacity to nine people. The Airedale is very popular due to its ability to adapt to different camper's needs, and the ability to customise the product with optional add-ons to improve comfort or sleeping space.
The inflatable design ensures pitching is simple and intuitive, with each beam individually inflated to create a strong, robust structure, which can be pitched in as little as 15 minutes. There is also a new improvement to the side annex, with this now being an inflatable tube as opposed to a steel pole as it was in previous years, which will again help to aid easier pitching and set-down. The Oxygen Air Frame system is tried and tested, with a Lifetime Guarantee on the tubes, which required registration of the product with the manufacturer after purchase. The tubes also have a release mechanism, to stop overinflation or expansion, which will ensure warm conditions do not affect the structure and integrity AirFrame.
Manufactured in the popular 240 HDE polyester - a durable yet lightweight 75 Denier fabric that offers the best fabric for the variable weather conditions of the UK, as it is highly waterproof, quick to dry, and offers a lighter weight fabric than traditional canvas or cotton tents. The Hydrostatic Head is 4000mm, exceptionally high to ensure the Airedale is ideal for rainy weather conditions.
Darkened Inner bedrooms also offer a better night's sleep, with a longer depth of 240cm, making them ideal for fitting larger airbeds, or camp beds into the inner pod lengthways, to maximise the space inside the sleeping pods. Further to this, additional sleeping inners can be purchased for the side extension, and the main living space, boosting capacity to 11 people.
Verdict - superb value for money when compared with rival branded products.

Berth | 7 Man Details Berth – This shows the number of people that the tent can sleep within the inner tents of a model of tent, in line with the industry standard. Normal procedure is to look for a slightly larger tent, for example, a family of four usually purchase a five or six berth tent, to give added room and comfort. |
Hydrostatic Head (mm) | 4000 Details Hydrostatic Head (Tents) – a waterproof rating for technical fabrics measured in mm. The higher the rating the more waterproof the fabric is. A rating of 1500mm is deemed waterproof, but on a tent, look for a rating of 3000 or higher. Measured by the height of water column a fabric weave can take before it begins to “sweat”. “Polycotton” tents will not have a Hydrostatic Head level, as they are not treated for waterproofing. |

Flysheet Fabric | 240HDE Polyester Fabric, 4000mm Details Polyester – a synthetic fibre, made from polymer units to create a textile fabric. Polyester is the most popular fabric for tent manufacturing, as it is durable, reliable and lighter in weight. Polyester does not breathe though, which creates more condensation. Polycotton - a blend of polyester and cotton, primarily cotton (usually around 65% cotton / 35% polyester split). Polycotton is a more natural fabric for camping, as it is breathable, far more durable material, reducing the effects of condensation. Offers greater versatility in hot and cold climates. Ripstop Nylon – a durable material used in tents which is strong and repairable due to its Ripstop properties. |
Fabric Denier | 75 Denier (Polyester) Details Denier - a measurement used to determine the thickness of the tent flysheet. It relates to the fibre thickness, or thread counts used. The thicker the fabric, generally the stronger, and more durable the fabric will be. The denier really reflects the lifetime to be expected of the tent, and how quickly, it will be affected by UV Degradation. |
Groundsheet Fabric | Double-coated polyethylene groundsheet, 10,000mm |
Inner Fabric | Darkened Twilight Micro Polyester Bedroom |
Window Fabric | Tinted PVC Windows with Zip up curtains |
Fire Retardant | Yes Details Fire Retardant – all modern tent fabrics are fire-retardant under EN5912 European Safety Laws. Caution with fire must always be used, as flame retardant fabrics, will still catch fire given the right circumstances. |
